Makassar Strait Area Development in Indonesia Based on the Marine Economy Sector

The new capital city of Indonesia, Nusantara, having moved from Jakarta on Java Island to Kalimantan, is now officially located in the interregional area Makassar Strait. This expected develop as engine Indonesian economy, while various economic infrastructures are still very limited. Strait covers East South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Central Sulawesi. These provinces have significant marine resource commodities make a relatively contribution economy whole. Using data 2016 Inter-Regional Input-Output (IRIO) table which was updated January 2021, this study aims analyze main sectors inter-provincial linkages between each sector region. results show that province has different development, leads differenct strategies based their quadrants. Furthermore, goal provincial development assumption an industrial scale.
